Personal Dynamic Media

I found it fascinating how much of an impact the invention of the Dynabook has had and still has on our society. Who would have thought something the size of a notebook can store so much from our own personal knowledge to basically what the ipad stores and does today? What I learned and found helpful and interesting was how in the article, it mentioned how the kids love it because "they are in control, the feeling that they are doing real things rather than playing with toys or working out assigned problems...."(Kay, A., & Goldberg, A. Personal Dynamic Media, 394).I never thought of why kids like the ipad so much or all these newest technological gadgets because kids are always growing and they get bored with generic things such as toys. However, kids love video games; they love something challenging to play with, so one can imagine why kids would enjoy the Dynabook because it was something new, they get to control what happens, like the wii game system. I just found that part of the text interesting. I also found the animation and music part of the Dynaboook to be quite intriguing because based on the images showed in the article, the animation and music aspect are very interesting and helpful to be aware of what the modern version of the Dynabook (ipad) are and how this latest new part of technology has evolved and where it all began.
